Bosses Don’t Work

Bosses Don’t Work

I once went to Frogo, but it was occupied by a single player using multiple accounts, all focused on defense. Their characters were at such a high level they didn’t even need to leave the poisoned zone. I mentioned this to a colleague, who explained that this is why he's currently focused on a different boss. Meanwhile, other high-level players are using multiple channels to essentially create a factory with their group.

As a casual player, this wasn’t fun—I just left.

Events

Even if the event system isn’t perfect, it at least sparks some interest; dozens of players enjoy participating, creating an engaging experience, even if there's room for improvement (more cooperation). But it works. Players spend time together, which is something most MMORPGs aim for—encouraging interaction rather than solo play. In Endless Online (EO), however, bosses have turned into farms for high-level players, their alts, and a select group of friends (we all know about the Dong/Cera drama). In the end, these places just become empty and lonely.

Frustration

The worst part is the experience of not getting a desired item after thousands of attempts, seeing no progress toward it even after hours of effort. Realistically, most casual players will try 10-30 times, get frustrated, and never return. This isn’t an issue for bots, cheaters, multi-accounters, and high-level players who primarily play for profit.

Cheating isn’t EO’s biggest problem. The real issue lies within the 5% of game mechanics that allow a small group of players to gain excessive gold or experience beyond what’s achievable for typical players.

Inflation

Inflation is also a serious problem. I remember when there were around 1.5 billion EONs in circulation. Now, it costs about a billion just for a single Sombrero hat. It’s hard to say if there’s another flaw in the drop rate system, especially with reports of players killing hundreds of bosses without any reward while others seem much luckier. Could there be a "drop window" where some players can estimate when the next drop will happen? Most of us will never know, but the risk of an unfair system is real.

Cores

Cores are a good option because they provide every player with a fair chance to earn a reward. The more effort you put in, the more you gain. Cores have become a sort of currency, and it’s a fair system. Perhaps more cores should drop, with more required for each item—depending on a fair ratio. Expanding the core system could improve gameplay.

Identified Solutions

Since cores offer a fair system, they should be the main valuable drop that players can exchange for items. We’ve already passed the point where casual players have a fair chance at getting valuable items, thanks to irrational drop rates and “gang factories.”

Bosses no longer attract people. If a core-based system doesn’t restore interest, events might be the way forward, and bosses should be reimagined as events.

Bosses are the most exploited mechanics by cheaters (multi-accounters) and high-level gangs. If these players want to cheat or farm gold, they should be directed toward other game mechanics, where such activity would be more visible. Currently, it’s too easy with macros to make 10 moves in 3 minutes.

Economy

The economy is in poor shape. High-level characters flood EO with gold by selling items from bosses. Introducing a “cores only” system could reduce frustration and make items more available. Higher availability would decrease prices. Reducing absurd gold levels is another challenge, possibly through level taxes, but something must be done. One straightforward solution is to introduce a new set of items with slightly better stats, which would naturally reduce the value of current items.

ABUS is not autoing (leave me alone please)

After consultation with my lawyers, I would like to confirm and raise an official statement: there is no statement.

As confirmation to all accusations - I would like to attach all possible evidences (messed up order) as confirmation how I think EO state and future looks like
